Misty the Cat

I have lived and worked most of my life in London and I spent four years at college learning about design and model making. I always thought that when I retired I would escape to the countryside, but I was a little surprised when at the age of 29, I sat down and realised I didn't want to continue on the track I was on.

I was a manager of a workshop making models for a group of architects at their practice; feeling tired and unappreciated, working long hours, commuting for three hours a day and finding very little time for myself, my friends, and my cats! In what little spare time I had, I loved making my own designs for things to give as gifts for friends, and on many occasions over the years people had said "you should do this for a living".

What a lovely thought to spend your day actually doing something that you love! So I decided to take my life and turn it upside down, I quit my job and moved to Norfolk, then Cambridge until finally settling in Lancashire. I now spend my days in my workshop coming up with new designs and turning them into reality. I especially love making my pagan range, it is so wonderful to produce items that really mean something.

Changing my life was one of the scariest things I have ever done and I don't regret it for one second. :o)
