I start off with a large sheet of laminated Birch wood, or a rough sawn plank of Yew, Oak or similar. From this I cut out any large pieces that I need. With what is left I work on smaller pieces of work, going smaller and smaller right down to pocket calmers.

This leaves nothing but sawdust.

.....I don't like waste.....

So I make environmentally happy fire lighters. When they are burnt the only thing left is ash, which goes into the garden to nourish the earth so it can grow more trees creating a complete circle!
